- Why do you think that the things Paul talks about are worthless without love?
- The second half of this text talks about the different attributes of love (also listed on the left hand side). What is the most difficult aspect of love that Paul talked about for you to display? Which quality got your lowest letter grade?
- What are some ways that you can improve this area of your life?
1. There is no reason for those things to exist if there is no love existing within them.
ReplyDelete2a. Patience
2b. Patience would get a "C" I am sometimes patient, but not always.
3. Finding things to distract myself before getting too inpatient, that will slowly help me become patient.
1. The things that Paul talks about are worthless without love because love is needed for all things.
ReplyDelete2. For me, the most difficult aspect of love to display is "does not keep records of wrongs." I think this is a quality that I gave myself a low letter grade on because I find it hard to forgive and let go of things.
3. I can improve this area of my life by praying more. The only way for forgiveness to actually happen is if I except it in my heart and really mean it.
1. Because love is the beginning and foundation for all of those things
ReplyDelete2. Mine is definitely patience, and I could probably fail that class if I got a letter grade in it.
3. Take a deep breath and think if I was in the person's place that I was being impatient with and how I would feel.
1. Because in all thing there is love. Without love those things have no purpose.
ReplyDelete2. Love keeps no record of wrong doings. Love is not provoked.
3. When ever I get provoked or remember something someone did me wrong I can remember this activity and try to act in the correct way towards the manner.
1. I believe that love is needed for anything we do in life, and without it, it has no meaning.
ReplyDelete2. I find "Love does not envy" to be really difficult for me. I think it's hard to walk through this life without envying those that appear to have more, even though we shouldn't be jealous of material items.
3. I think that I should just pray about it and focus on the things that I have been blessed with.
Love is needed for everything so the things Paul talks about are worthless.
ReplyDeleteI find it very hard for me to not to keep a record of wrongs because i feel like if i keep a record of wrongs i wont get hurt by the people who have hurt me before.
I can try not to keep peoples wrongs inside my head and forgive them for what they have done.
Love is the foundation for everything and without it the other things are hollow.
ReplyDeleteI gave a low grade to myself for selfishness and patience. I struggle with both of these areas. I like things done my way in my time.
Praying and asking God to help me put others before myself is how I continue to work on this area of my life. I also pray for patience and work on taking deep breathes when frustrated and try to look at things from all angles.
1. If there is no love in the world than everything else is useless.
ReplyDelete2. Patience is the hardest for me and it also got the lowest letter grade.
3. I need to take my time rather than just rush into things.
1. Love is everywhere around us and without it the world would be terrible.
ReplyDelete2. Being patient is one thing I need to work on and if I was being grading I would get a low letter grade.
3. I can try to distract myself and keep myself company while I wait.
1. Love is needed for all things so all the thinks he talked about are worthless.
ReplyDelete2. Love does not keep records of wrongs, I would probably give myself a "c"
3. Realize that you don't have time to keep grudges or keep a hold of wrongs
1. Love is needed for all things, so without love they are worthless
ReplyDelete2. My lowest letter grade would be for 'Love does not keep a record of wrongs'
3. Always understand people make mistakes, and that you shouldn't hold someone you love against it.
1. Becuase love is within everything, so without it all things are worthless.
ReplyDelete2. My lowest grade level would have to be patience.
3. Way I could improve is just trusting that it will happen, that maybe God is waiting for the right time and that I shouldn't be impatient with him.
1. Everybody loves and is lived therefore without love, everything is worthless.
ReplyDelete2. I have very little patience so that would have to be my lowest level.
3. I could improve by living life day by day and stop worrying about the future because it could help me gain more patience.
Without love Jesus would not have loved us enough to die on the cross and we would be barried in our sin and never reach God.
ReplyDelete2. Patience would be my lowest grade.
3. Take a deep breath and think about both sides of the situation.
Everything Paul talks about requires love to exist.
ReplyDeleteBeing patient is the one I would give the lowest grade because I find it hard to be patient in many situations.
Every time I am faced with a situation that requires patience, I need to calmly think about the situation and how it can be accomplished without getting frustrated.
1. Because doing these things without love isn't really showing gods love to others and you stent gaining anything from it.
ReplyDelete2.the most difficult aspect of love for me is keeping no record of wrongs because I find it hard when everybody else does and I'm suppose to always be forgiving.
3. I can try letting go and forgiving a bit more easily than what I do.
1. Because with out love some things are worthless and loves speads God's love by showing compassion.
ReplyDelete2. Love does not envy.
3. I could improve this aspect by showing compassion to others and trying to look past their mistakes and into the future.
1) I think that Paul is saying that, without love, there is no purpose in doing those things.
ReplyDelete2) Love is patient. It is not provoked.
3) You can improve these areas of your life by praying about it to have God help you to improve.
